Mendocino Cooperage

Mendocino Cooperage (a division of Brown Forman) manufactured top-end oak barrels for the wine industry.  

They wanted to gain access into a very mature market that has a number of strong competitors. We isolated their core strengths, the management of oak resources in key regions of the US provides them with critical consistency of raw products. We developed a communications plan around the terroir qualities of their oak barrels, in a language that resonated with the winemaker. We redesigned their visual identity and supported it with the signature line “America’s Premier Cooperage”.
